OCSPCA Assistance Program

No Empty Bowls

Our “No Empty Bowls” pet food bank program helps pet owners feed their pets during times of need. The program receives both in-kind donations of food and money to purchase food.

Pit Bull Eating

The Orange County SPCA aims to not only make a difference in the lives of animals in need but to also improve the community and keep families together. Many people in our community simply need a “helping paw” with feeding their animals for a few weeks or months as they get back on their feet after losing a job or family member or recover from an illness. With help from the community, we can prevent pets from going hungry or ending up at a shelter because their owner has fallen on hard times.

Every week, our partners pick up donated food and distribute it at the pantries. Since homeless pet owners typically cannot carry large supplies of food, volunteers bag one week’s worth of food which is distributed to them.

Food donations are greatly needed at all times. The OCSPCA asks that you donate unopened cans or bags of dog and cat food.

We are always excited  and grateful to partner directly with distributors and manufacturers ! Please contact us directly for large or distributor donations.
We do apologize but due to concerns of contamination we are not able to accept open or compromised bags.

Thank you to our partners who offer the following Donated Food Collection Locations:

  •  Animalia located at the corner of Bolsa Chica and Heil in Huntington Beach.
  • Zoom Room located at the corner of Beach Blvd. & Garfield (next to Stein Mart) in Huntington Beach.
