Cookie is our latest animal in need and he’s doing much better!
Cookie the Pomeranian was attacked by another dog on June 26th while he was out taking a walk with his owners. He was taken to the emergency animal hospital for the obvious bite wounds, but the owners were unaware of his internal damage because he was being such a trooper. After the vets assessed the situation it was established that Cookie had 12 puncture wounds, broken rips, bruises, contusions, fluid in this lungs, a punctured liver and a fever.
Cookie is lucky to be alive and with help from the OCSPCA and your generous donations, he is home and doing better! The surgery was a success and Cookie and his owner have been watching movies together while he recovers. He is still in discomfort, but as you can see he is smiling and happy to be home. Thank you to everyone who contributed and donated to this little guy’s cause!
Cookie’s owner was kind enough to send along some post-surgery pictures of the little Pomeranian. Take a look at them now!
