Animal in Need – Cookie
Cookie needs your help today!!!!
Cookie the Pomeranian was attacked by another dog on June 26th while he was out taking a walk with his owners. He was taken to the emergency animal hospital for the obvious bite wounds, but the owners were unaware of his internal damage because he was being such a trooper. After the vets assessed the situation it was established that Cookie has 12 puncture wounds, broken rips, bruises, contusions, fluid in this lungs, a punctured liver and a fever. He is lucky to be alive, but he is a fighter and his prognosis is good! He is in surgery today, but we need your help to cover the costs of the surgery that the owners can’t afford. Due to their financial situation they have only been able to pay the deposit needed for the surgery. The overall estimated cost of the surgery is $1600. The Orange County SPCA will be doing a financial assistance contribution, but with your help that contribution can be even greater.
Please donate today so that we can help this little cutie!
If the OCSPCA receives more donations than what is needed for Cookie’s surgery, the rest of the donations will be placed into our general Animal Rescue Fund. For more information about our ARF program, please visit the main ARF page here.
Below you will find a cute video of Cookie before the incident.
